About the Rolethe Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) role at the University of Melbourne offers an exciting opportunity to drive growth and innovation in professional education. As a key member of the Research Innovation and Commercialisation (RIC) and Melbourne Professional Education (MPE) teams youll play a pivotal role in expanding the Universitys presence in the professional education sector across Australia and internationally. This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an uptodate Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. Research Innovation and Commercialisation (RIC) is the central facilitator of research funding in the University taking advantage of the full diversity of research funding opportunities.
Innovation and Enterprise (I&E) supports the successful delivery of large missionfocused complex noncompetitive grant and the new MRFF schemes interdisciplinary research and enterprise initiatives involving multiple parties e.g. industry granting bodies advocacy groups government. Major current focus areas are the new MRFF scheme Melbourne Connect precinct development (and subsequent precinct developments) and developing a clear frontdoor canvasing new topdown industry partner relationships. The team also provides support for Chancellerylead strategic initiatives.
