Employment Type:

Fulltime (40 hours per week)

Base Hourly:

$20.76

Class/Calendar:

B2212 months

Benefits:

Performance Pay:

Available annually

New Hire Experience:

1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement up to atenyear maximum

New Hire Education:

1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position

Job Summary:

To perform a variety of financial activities including processing recording updating analyzing and reconciling fiscal information in conformance with District State Federal and USFR guidelines to accurately submit the Medicaid financial reimbursement information and Travel Reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

This section outlines the primary duties and key responsibilities required for this role detailing the essential tasks and functions necessary to perform the job successfully with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Submit Medicaid financial information quarterly and annually to the PCG Claiming System
  • Prepare financial information in collaboration with the Special Education Transportation and Accounts Payable departments
  • Collect financial information on Medicaidrelated activities as needed for CostBased reimbursement
  • Ensure financial information submitted is following Medicaid compliance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
  • Reconcile Visions and PCG cost pool data to ensure accurate Medicaid reimbursement
  • Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools
  • Keeping detailed information on all travelrelated conferences
  • Maintaining travel tracking system to ensure all travel requests are reviewed in a timely manner
  • Processing and auditing travel documentation to ensure alignment with internal controls and external audit standards
  • Getting estimates and booking flights for all nonstudent travel
  • Maintaining detailed spreadsheets on all travel reimbursements and airfare

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School education or equivalent

Experience:

  • Three years of accounting experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with district personnel and outside agencies
