The Opportunity:
The Program Assistant will provide a wide range of diverse administrative support to the Counseling and Wellness team in the College of Veterinary Medicine through a variety of tasks related to: Event planning fiscal support including purchasing and monitoring program inventory monitoring and updating external and internal website content as well as providing general office support. This position is responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. A successful candidate will be required to complete FERPA and HIPAA compliance training.
Additional Information:
This is a fulltime (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary:
$3239 to $4299 Range 37 (Steps AM) Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 35728.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalentANDtwo years of fulltime clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.
Demonstrated ability to work in a confidential setting with confidential materials and ability to adhere to privacy and confidentiality regulations policies and guidelines.
Excellent interpersonal listening and communication skills both verbal and written.
Proficiency working with Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to proofread and edit program materials.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of HIPAA FERPA and confidentiality guidelines.
Familiarity with academic policies and procedures.
Experience coordinating programs and/or events.
