Landus is seeking an experienced and dynamic U.S. Business Development Manager to lead our business development initiatives across the United States for our AcreEdge Performance Portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong agricultural sales and business development background particularly in crop nutrition and biological solutions. The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities forging strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the agricultural sector focusing on the AcreEdge portfolio.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve national growth targets.
    • Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
  • Partnership and Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients distributors and industry stakeholders.
    • Negotiate and close business deals that promote sustained revenue.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to tailor offerings to market demands.
  • Market Development:
    • Identify and develop new markets for AcreEdges product portfolio.
    • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and identify potential areas for product development and placement.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Monitor business development metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
    • Utilize CRM tools to track business development activities and customer interactions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • A bachelors degree in agronomy agricultural business business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7 years in agricultural sales or business development with a strong focus on agricultural startups or plant nutrition.
    • Proven track record in identifying and securing new business opportunities in the agricultural sector.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to analyze complex data and market trends.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Willingness to travel nationally as required.
    • Valid drivers license.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with agricultural nutrition products and agricultural technology
  • Established network within the agricultural industry including distributors and key accounts.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to agricultural inputs.
