Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in developing highperformance visualizations for bioinformatics teams. The ideal candidate will be proficient in TypeScript and other fullstack technologies with strong backend experience in Java Python or Rust. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable intuitive visualization tools that enable researchers to interpret biological datasets effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive visualizations for bioinformatics applications.
- Implement scalable and efficient fullstack solutions using TypeScript and modern web frameworks.
- Develop backend services in Java Python or Rust to support dataintensive applications.
- Collaborate closely with bioinformatics researchers to understand their visualization needs.
- Optimize application performance and ensure seamless data processing.
- Maintain code quality through best practices testing and documentation.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in data visualization and bioinformatics.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of software engineering experience with a focus on data visualization.
- Expertise in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React Vue or Angular).
- Strong backend development skills in Java Python or Rust.
- Experience working with large datasets and bioinformatics tools.
- Familiarity with cloudbased architectures and database technologies.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Exposure to or similar visualization tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with or other visualization libraries.
- Knowledge of bioinformatics pipelines and data formats.
- Experience in deploying applications in cloud environments such as AWS GCP or Azure.
- Understanding of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Background in computational biology genomics or related fields.

The estimated base salary range for the Sr. Software Engineer Bioinformatics Visualization role based in the United States of America is: $126800 $190200. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to an individuals qualifications location where the role is to be performed internal equity and alignment with market data. Additionally all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
