Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Construction Project Assistant Intern to support our project management team in the planning coordination and execution of construction projects. This is a handson opportunity to gain valuable experience and insight into construction project management working alongside experienced professionals in a fastpaced environment.
85% Administrative Assistant: Provide daily administrative duties for the Major Projects team. This position monitors records and filing types up documentation and schedules and coordinates meetings.
15% Sales Support: Provides sales support to the Major Projects team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative Assistant:
  • Assist project managers in daily coordination of construction activities and project documentation
  • Monitor project progress and help prepare regular status reports.
  • Attend meetings take minutes and support communication between team members subcontractors and vendors.
  • Help track project schedules budgets and deliverables.
  • Organize and maintain project files drawings permits and other documentation.
  • Conduct site visits to observe construction progress ensure compliance with safety protocols and
  • document field conditions.
  • Support procurement of materials and verify deliveries.
  • Assist in change order tracking RFIs and submittals.
Sales Support:
  • Interface with branch to ensure cohesion in projects.
  • Assist with marketing projects and to meet deadlines.
  • Prepares quotes contracts and RFP/RFI responses for potential customers.
  • Maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations.
  • Maintains all sales demonstration tools and applications.
  • Maintains uptodate awareness of company activities industry trends and government regulations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Architecture or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of construction methods terminology and project lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook); familiarity with construction software (e.g. Procore Bluebeam AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work onsite and in an office setting.

Compensation:
The pay range listed is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters inc/Satellite Industries Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors including but not limited to a candidates qualifications skills competencies experience location and end client requirements).
