We are seeking a highly skilled SME/Senior Logistics & Product Support Managerto support critical defense acquisition programs by developing and integrating longterm product support strategies. This role requires deep expertise in logistics planning sustainment integration and lifecycle management to ensure operational effectiveness of complex systems.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of DoD acquisition processes systems engineering integration and the 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements and will be instrumental in aligning logistics activities with overall program goals and mission readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement product support strategiesthat align with program acquisition strategies and system lifecycle sustainment needs.
Identify and define the required infrastructures processes and proceduresnecessary to maintain system capabilities across operational environments.
Integrate quantitative systems engineering characteristicssuch as reliability maintainability and availabilityinto logistics and support planning.
Coordinate the application of the 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements ensuring alignment with procurement sustainment and budgeting activities.
Support the formulation and execution of life cycle sustainment plans (LCSPs)and logistics support analysis (LSA).
Collaborate across crossfunctional teams including engineering program management and supply chain to enable costeffective support solutions.
Analyze system fielding impacts and recommend optimal support resource allocations to maximize operational readiness.
Ensure logistics planning and execution meet compliance with DoD and servicespecific standards and policies.
Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in Logistics Engineering Business or related discipline.
10 yearsof experience in logistics product support or sustainment management within a DoD or aerospace/defense environment.
Proven experience in developing and integrating product support and logistics strategies in alignment with acquisition milestones.
Demonstrated expertise in applying systems engineering data (e.g. R&M data) to inform logistics decisions.
Experience integrating all 12 IPS elementsinto a cohesive executable support plan.
Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes policies and sustainment frameworks.
Active Top Secret clearancewith SCI eligibilityrequired at the time of hire.
Strong communication collaboration and leadership skills.
Onsite in El Segundo CA area
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Logistics Systems Engineering or related field.
DAWIA certification in Life Cycle Logistics or equivalent.
Experience supporting USAF or Space Force programs.
Familiarity with logistics modeling and simulation tools or product data management systems.
