Job Description
Required Qualifications
Must have 3 years of level of realworld Akamai configuration experience managing various Akamai features across multiple domains. Experience with other CDNs considered. Ex. Fastly CloudFlare Imperva Cloudfront etc.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace Prometheus/Grafana ELK stack ability to understand metrics and impact to system performance and ability to build dashboards and alerts to ensure system reliability.
Experience with Siteshield and other Akamai security features.
Strong scripting and coding ability across multiple languages and technologies
Willingness to work flexible hours oncall as needed.
Proven experience optimizing reliability and performance and scaling technical infrastructure in a fast paced and collaborative environment
Strong analytical skills and ability to provide data driven recommendations for critical decision making mainly around system reconfiguration and improvement
5 years of progressive experience in cloud engineering site reliability devops system infrastructure or a related technical role
5 years of experience building and/or supporting web applications
5 years of Linux Operating Systems experience including scripting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers developers and senior leaders
Optional Qualifications
Internet security related experience
Experience in performance tuning and application monitoring
Experience in architecture and design of webbased architecture
Experience in a technical leadership capacity team lead/manager etc.
Experience in cloud technologies: AWS Azure etc.
Familiarity with HTML5 JavaScript frameworks and CSS3
