Job Description
CAD MANAGER
ENTACT is a premier national provider of environmental civil and geotechnical construction services. ENTACT is currently seeking an experienced CAD Manager in the environmental remediation geotechnical and/or heavy civil construction industry. This position will serve as a key function and work closely with engineers and project managers to design largescale grading plans shoring and excavation plans and deep soil mixing plans. Responsibilities involve generating CADD plans on various assigned projects of moderate to largerscale scope and/or complexity. You will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative group of professionals working on exciting and meaningful projects across many different market sectors.
- Work collaboratively with design engineers to create design level drawings sets for design build projects consisting of largescale grading insitu solidification shoring designs and cap and consolidation designs.
- Work collaboratively with proposal teams to evaluate CADD files to prepare project take offs and quantity evaluations.
- Develop and maintain a database of CADD standards to be utilized by the company.
- Provides CADD support to field engineers and project managers for environmental remediation and geotechnical construction projects.
- Compile and analyze data from the physical work site surveys blueprints schematics data verbal or written specifications technical drawings rough sketches diagrams and other matrices to support drafting activities for single multiphase or multisite project work.
- Use 3D (CADD) software and work closely with operations associates to resolve design details or discrepancies and to prepare drawings which require a high degree of precision on projects of moderate complexity and/or scope.
- Work with crossfunctional teams in executing project work.
- Assure plans adhere to city code state and federal regulations.
- Engage in occasional contact with client and contractor personnel to schedule and coordinate project drafting support review.
- Provide guidance and training to entrylevel engineers.
- Remain current in latest drafting support knowledge techniques and practices.
- Capable of becoming familiar with local state and federal land use permitting.
- Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D design skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical multitasking and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
- Prior experience working in fastpaced deadline driven environments
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in closely related discipline is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in site/civil design or environmental remediation experience
- Professionalism and ethical conduct in building relationships with senior management and other colleagues vendors subcontractors and clients
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment set priorities and balance multiple projects at once
- Teamplayer with strong leadership negotiation analytical and problemsolving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to clients
- Ability to work schedules conducive to projectspecific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
- Travel may be required depending on projectspecific requirements
Work Environment
The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office setting.

- Ability to communicate effectively with management coworkers vendors both individually and in front of a group
- Good reasoning ability and decisionmaking skills.
- Able to understand and utilize reports memos and other documents to conduct business
- Must be able to stand sit talk hear reach stoop kneel and use hands and fingers to operate a computer telephone and keyboard
- Be Able to stand or walk on a project site for extended durations.
- When on project sites or if performing some types of work activity wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to earplugs protective eyewear gloves hard hat steeltoed work boots and high visibility safety apparel.
- Work requires the ability to hear normal conversation see near objects and speak clearly.
- Regular use of the phone email text teams and computer for communication
- Sitting for extended period
- No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects may be required.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform such activity such as viewing a computer extensive reading preparing and analyzing data and figures.
- Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers calculators copiers and fax machines.
- Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals technical procedures and government regulations
- Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients or customers.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form
- Job success often hinges upon interpersonal communication and relationship development skills and job tasks require frequent interchange and successful completion depends in large part upon effective interaction and communication with others.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to safely travel by air car train or bus
