The Opportunity:
As the Research Study Coordinator for the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences you will provide clinical and organizational support for research projects affiliated with a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded center grant within the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Under general supervision you will coordinate research studies from initial submission to final reporting. Some of your duties may include but are not limited to Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission writing study design recruiting utilizing samples from human subjects will process samples and aid in reporting progress and results.
Essential Duties:
40% Research Trial/Study Coordination
35% Research Study Lab and Participant Preparation/Maintenance
20% Department Administrative Support
5% Miscellaneous
Additional Information:
This is a fulltime (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3317.00 to $4410.00 Range 38 Steps AM Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 35728. Step M is typically a longevity step.

Required Qualifications:
Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND two years of experience as a Research Study Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional Requirements:
Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
Demonstrated ability with strong written/oral communication and organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple projects.
Willing and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when necessary and with proper notice.
Ability to successfully pass the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Training within one month of hire.
Ability to successfully pass the bloodborne pathogen training within one month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a research environment.
Excellent proofreading skills and a strong attention to detail.
Experience working with internet applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic laboratory safety protocols.
Demonstrated knowledge of bloodborne pathogens.
