Supports the Quality Department through high quality staff and provider education initiatives including clinical and technical aspects of their roles. The ideal candidate is a clinically experienced person who is experienced in adult education demonstrates selfdriven initiative and strong problemsolving skills. This trainer will utilize multiple modalities of education delivery to include developing and executing online courses inperson training virtual classes and individual coaching.
Hours: This is a perdiem position to cover Project work Annual Skills Fair PTO EPIC upgrades etc. Hybrid position as could potentially travel to any of our 18 centers as needed.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of training for new and existing Evernorth Care Group staff and clinicians. Incorporating policy process and procedure changes as identified.
- Administers enduser proficiency assessments document scores and communicates to Training Manager and User and Security team.
- Develops and conducts training courses utilizing various modalities as appropriate specific to back office clinician pharmacy and front office processes
- Assists with creating and maintaining new curriculum/course and associated deliverables including but not limited to recording new videos creating interactive online courses and updating existing courses as well as maintaining training documents within SharePoint.
- Updates trainers manuals student packets exercise booklets handouts login cards presentations Quick Start Guides Tip Sheets and other educational materials for responsible training courses.
- Participate in the rollout of all software updates for the Evernorth Care Group.
- Support and educate around new IT requests on improvements needed to the various systems as well as perform the preproduction user testing.
- Followsthrough on needed answers decisions and verification of workflows.
- Assists with building and testing of training environments and troubleshooting issues.
- Works closely with Operations Nurse and Clinician Champions to determine plan and execute for training and communication needs. Creates and distributes communication to end users as needed.
- Ensure clinicians and staff adopt new applications and/or application updates; this would include notifying staff and clinicians of changes as needed live training and tracking compliance with using the applications as expected.
- Coordinate with onboarding process notifying the team when a new hire is complete with learning modules.
- Assists centers with oneonone training or followup onsite training as requested.
- Recommend process improvements that drive efficiencies.
- Works with leadership to coordinate between policy changes and training needs.
- Partner/collaborate with Cigna training resources.
- Serve as subject matter expert for various clinical areas of Evernorth Care Group.
- Collects feedback from trainees in class and communicate that information to the Training Manager.

- Occasional travel between health care facilities and administrative offices within the Phoenix metro area.
Experience/Knowledge:
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records is required (Epic Certification preferred)
- 35 years experience with formal adult education training preferred.
- Experience with education design software (Articulate preferred)
- Experience in developing training materials.
- Knowledgeable of back office clinician and front office workflow and processes. Knowledge of ICD10 is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft software applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook SharePoint) and Windows operating system environment.
- Bachelors degree or related clinical and training experience preferred.
- Technologically savvy and able to manage the Learning Management System (LMS) content course offerings and course catalog for their organization.
