Description
Job Summary:
Performs a wide range of duties in the field of accounting including accounts payable receivable invoicing and collections and assist with monthly close.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with monthly close journal entries and financial statements
- Handle administrative duties including mail phone calls etc.
- Enter AP PO and non PO invoices and print daily check run.
- Enter AR deposits daily and balance to deposit list.
- Assist with development of accounting apprentices.
- Perform spreadsheet analysis and pivot tables with excel
- Help develop and analyze cost of products and machine costs
- Perform 6S duties as needed.
- Coordinate daily tasks with other Team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
- Observes company policies related to dress appearance attendance employment etc.
- Quality report updated as required
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Three years experience in an accounting/bookkeeping office environment helpful but not required.
- Associates or BS Degree in Accounting or business related field
Personal Characteristics:
- Strong analytical numerical and reasoning abilities.
- Participative work style.
- Good interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with many diverse personalities in challenging situations while presenting a courteous professional demeanor.
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive.
- Good communications skills written and verbal.
- Results oriented with a high level of initiative.
General:
Individuals in this position are expected to perform daily functions with little supervision. Matters that do require direct supervision should be of a nature that requires the decision making or authority of higher level management.
Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand walk stoop kneel crouch push or pull up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb and balance. The employee must regularly lift and or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include: close vision distant vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
