Under general supervision the Senior Athletic Academic Advisor will advise studentathletes coordinate academic support assess NCAA eligibility lead programs within the Matador Achievement Center and collaborate extensively with coaches and academic staff enhancing studentathletes academic journeys toward successful graduation.
- Advise multiple teams both incoming and continuing studentathletes on course selection graduation planning referrals to campus resources knowledge of campus policies academic progress checking etc.
- Provide individual Academic Specialist meetings referrals to MAC & campus resources run weekly appointment reports and communicate frequently with Coaches studentathlete followup and checkins.
- Monitoring and reviewing NCAA academic eligibility for assigned teams: Continuing eligibility evaluations recruiting meetings eligibility/APR projections working knowledge of NCAA academic eligibility rules transfer evaluations etc.
- Coordinate a program within the Matador Achievement Center.
- Collaborate with faculty staff coaches and athletic administration.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
