Job Description
Bank Porter Woodthorpe Hospital
We currently have a great opportunity for a Hospital Porter to join our team at Woodthorpe Hospital. You will be apart of the hospital portering team. The job covers a wide variety of task from taking patients to and from theatres and other departments to general site duties such as handling post handling medical gas cylinders and some occasional driving deliveries between sites. If you are a person who thrives on variety has a positive can do approach and wants to be part of an outstanding hospital team then wed love to hear from you.
What you will be doing:
Transferring patients to and from Theatres/Clinical department
Moving furniture and medical gas bottles
Driving to external sites
General housekeeping and waste disposal and clinical waste
What youll bring with you:
A full UK Driving licence
Ability to work under your own initiative or as part of a small team.
Work within a challenging environment
Bring a can do approach to the team
A flexible and positive attitude
Have good communication skills
Excellent customer service experience
Who were looking for
The ideal candidate will be happy to work in a Manual role
Previous Healthcare experience would be advantageous
Exceptional Customer Service skills

The site on which Woodthorpe Hospital now stands has provided healthcare to the people of Nottingham since 1877 and is conveniently located towards the north of Nottingham city centre with excellent onsite parking facilities and access to public transport nearby. Today we are a modern wellequipped hospital with 41 private bedrooms (all ensuite) andtwo operating theatres. We are constantly developing our services and are proud of our comprehensive range of specialist departments and the high standard of care that they allow us to offer all of our guests.
What is a Bank contract:
A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead you work on an adhoc basis filling in shifts that we have available in our hospitals. A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability leaving you with a greater worklife balance. Bank contracts are also a fantastic way to secure additional income alongside other contracted work. Our Bank staff play a crucial role in maintaining service levels during peak times or staff shortages ensuring that patient care remains uninterrupted.
