Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Hardware professional to support our mission of building worldclass mobile solutions for our directtoconsumer products and business partners.

Based in Deerfield IL or San Francisco CA this role reports to the Manager of Hardware Program Management Security and Outdoor Connected Products.
You will lead multiple complex product improvement projects and manage multidisciplinary global teamsincluding Product Management Sourcing Marketing Electrical Mechanical Firmware Software Quality Assurance Operation Sales and Technical Supportto bring innovative product ideas to market quickly.
Much of the development work will be supported by global partners and focused on Yale and Master Lock residential and commercial products.
WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE
- Effectively manage projects using scaled Agile and waterfall/phasegate methodologies. You will be an active problem solver and coordinate the efforts of the project team.
- Lead and manage new product initiatives and product enhancement projects.
- Coordinate the work of crossfunctional and multilocation project teams to accomplish all project tasks and milestones. Ensure project governance per Fortune Brands Innovation gateway methodologies create project schedules track progress and drive the project team to obtain schedule milestones.
- Lead frequent project pulse meetings to ensure timely communication within the project team and the rapid completion of key tasks ensuring the identification resolution and escalation of key project issues to senior management. Communicate project analytics status plans and risk management strategies to both our internal senior leadership team and externally facing customers.
- Collaborate with fellow project managers and the engineering systems managers to adopt or improve the latest project management techniques and tools.
Qualifications :
- Experience in Electromechanical project management.
- 5 years of experience managing complex crossfunctional projects from beginning to launch.
- 5 years of engineering experience involving electronics mechanical software firmware and systemlevel components.
- Strong presentation organizational and communications skills
- Experience using Jira and Confluence project collaboration and visual project management boards.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including MS Project MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional team in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly preferred.
- Must be open to occasional domestic and international travel and have a valid passport
Additional Information :
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role in Deerfield IL is hiring Pay Range: $93000 $143000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased sales incentive plan.
