Ride Prototype Technicians work within a Ride Development Engineering responsible for construction of wood vehicle mockups seat bucks and guest restraint development from concept to creative buy offs. They support Engineering in every aspect of mechanical ride mockup and testing request up to first article production vehicle buy off. Have ability to collaborate within diverse teams of technical and creative members and be comfortable in environments where scope and requirements change frequently.
Perform woodworking operations using table chop panel saw and routers for construction of ride vehicle mockups and seat bucks.
Basic Qualifications
Comfortable working in an environment with constant project/design changes.
Highly dependable strong work ethic willingness to learn new things and continually improve skills.
Mechanical knowledge.
Ability to work directly with engineering and creative staff to determine proper fabrication methods.
Preferred Qualifications
Interpretation and manipulation of SolidWorks and AutoCAD drawings with ability to follow direction from conceptional drawings and white board sketches.
Perform woodworking operations using table chop panel saw and routers for construction of ride vehicle mockups and seat bucks.
Perform moderate machining operations using conventional vertical mill and lathe.
Handson experience with fabrication equipment to include press brake shear roll and metal cutting saws.
Perform basic welding tasks and adjust machine parameters as required using GMAW and GTAW processes.
Background of mechanical assembly.
Forklift scissor lift training and rigging experience a plus.
Ability to collaborate within a diverse team.
Required Education High School or equivalent work experience
Additional Information
Resource will be onsite 5 days per week. There is a strong possibility that we may have approval to hire 2 workers.
Must haves:
1)Know how to navigate 3d Cad systems and take dimensions. will not need to be a Cad Designer
2)Mechanical ability to support projects
