Job Title: Venafi Administrator
Location: Chicago IL 100% Onsite from day 1.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Venafi Administrator to lead and manage our enterprise certificate lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in TLS/SSL certificate management Venafi Trust Protection Platform and strong system administration skills across Windows and Linux/Unix servers. This role requires both technical hands-on skills and the ability to work with various teams to maintain secure and compliant environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Overall IT experience: 7-10 Years
- 5 years of experience with Windows and Linux/Unix Server Administration
- Proficient in PowerShell and Bash scripting for automation
- Hands-on experience with Venafi plus exposure to Sectigo DigiCert or Keyfactor
- Strong understanding of TLS/SSL protocols PKI and certificate lifecycle management
- Experience integrating with Azure Key Vault AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) and other cloud services
- Knowledge of secure key storage certificate rotation and industry best practices
- Excellent problem-solving documentation and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer configure and support Venafi Trust Protection Platform (TPP)
- Manage the full certificate lifecycle: issuance renewal revocation and inventory
- Design and implement automation solutions for certificate renewal and provisioning using Venafi APIs
- Integrate Venafi with enterprise systems including Azure Key Vault AWS ACM and other cloud services
- Work with certificate management platforms like Sectigo DigiCert Keyfactor etc.
- Monitor and act on renewal notifications and manage alerts for high-critical production applications
- Provide support for automated certificate delivery to network application and infrastructure components
- Troubleshoot certificate issues reduce outage risks and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with security cloud DevOps and infrastructure teams
- Maintain clear documentation of configurations standards and procedures
