As a Benefits Administrator youll play a critical role in supporting and administering the organizations benefits and leave programs. Youll serve as a primary point of contact for employees with benefits-related questions assist with orientation and enrollment and ensure accurate records and seamless communication. In addition to core benefits administration this role provides backup support to the Leave Administrator helping manage various leave programs and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws. The position will directly report to the Director - HR Service Delivery and Administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs including health dental vision retirement and wellness plans.
- Conduct benefits orientation and open enrollment sessions for new and existing employees.
- Advise employees on eligibility plan details and coverage options.
- Support employees during claims enrollment changes and life event updates.
- Act as a liaison between employees and external benefits providers to resolve issues and ensure high service levels.
- Prepare clear and informative benefits communication materials including memos FAQs and presentations.
- Maintain accurate benefits records enrollment data and contributions in the HRIS.
- Assist with leave programsadvise employees and managers on maternity/paternity medical/disability military and unpaid leave.
- Record leave activity and ensure appropriate updates in payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Provide backup support to the Leave Administrator during absences or peak periods.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 04 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR function.
- Working knowledge of employee benefits and leave programs (FMLA ADA etc.) preferred.
- Familiarity with Workday HCM benefits admin tools and payroll systems.
- Strong communication organizational and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and discretion.
- Organizational savvy and the humility to accept feedback with grace and a growth mindset.
- Confidence and compassion to deliver candid feedback in a way that supports both personal and professional development.
