Direct Supervisor: Controller

Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Controller the Revenue Manager acts as a key liaison between the budget analysts and the accounting team. This position ensures that grant vouchering activity is accurately reflected in the general ledger and that accounts receivable are properly recorded and monitored. The Revenue Manager supports timely and accurate revenue recognition tracks funding changes and analyzes their impact on program budgets.

This role is responsible for monitoring revenue for a large portfolio of both expensebased and performancebased grants across multiple programs ensuring compliance and consistency in reporting. The Revenue Manager will also provide financial support to a healthcare facility including revenue tracking and analysis unique to healthcare facilities.

Additionally this role is responsible for preparing monthly audit schedules and ensuring yearend audit reporting is complete accurate and submitted on time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile grant vouchering activity with the general ledger and accounts receivable records monthly.
  • Reading and interpreting funding documents related to grants management.
  • Monitor and track revenue for a diverse portfolio of grants including both expensebased and performancebased contracts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recognition of grant revenue in accordance with accounting standards and funder requirements.
  • Coordinate with budget analysts to align expenditures billing and revenue recognition.
  • Monitor funding changes across programs and assist the Controller in analyzing their impact on budgets and cash flow.
  • Support financial operations of a healthcare facility by analyzing reports from the EMR and billing system and providing clear and accurate information to the management team.
  • Prepare monthly audit schedules for funders and internal management.
  • Assist the Controller in maintaining deferred revenue schedules and reconciling grant receivables.
  • Support annual audit preparation and ensure timely and accurate reporting of all grantrelated revenue and receivable accounts.
  • Develop and maintain processes to improve integration between budget accounting and program teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Public Administration or related field required.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in nonprofit or government grant accounting; experience with both expensebased and performancebased grants preferred.
  • Knowledge of GAAP especially as it relates to nonprofit revenue recognition.
  • Experience working with healthcare funding streams or healthcarerelated financial reporting is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
  • Selfstarter with the capacity to take initiative prioritize tasks and follow through independently while working within a supportive team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Experience with audit preparation and grant financial reporting.
