Job Description

Grafton Elementary School K6 is seeking an energetic creative and dedicated school nurse beginning in the school year. We are looking for a team player who places childrens needs first. The School Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care and wellness checks for students along with maintaining student medical records and being a resource to students and include but not limited to:Providing nursing assessment treatment first aid and emergency careAdministering and monitoring medications that are taken at schoolMaintaining comprehensive and confidential health records for students that are compliant with federal state and local regulationsMust remain proficient in current technology for health record databases used throughout the districtEnsures all student vaccinations are up to dateManaging communicable diseasesConducting annual hearing and vision screeningAssessing and planning for students with healthrelated concerns which may affect learning (EST 504 IEP participation)Communicating with families and staff regarding healthrelated issuesProviding families and staff with healthrelated resources and referralsPromoting schoolwide wellness through health educationCase manages Medical 504sMember of Crisis Team
