Pool Lifeguard Summer Camp
Location: Monte Vista Christian School (MVCS)
Position Type: Seasonal PartTime (Afternoons)
Pay Rate: $40/hour

Position Summary:
Monte Vista Christian School is seeking a responsible and attentive Pool Lifeguard to supervise our summer camp pool for children ages 5 to 12. The lifeguard will ensure the safety of all campers during afternoon swim sessions and uphold a fun positive and secure aquatic environment.

Schedule:

• Dates: Monday through Friday June 9 July 25
• Hours: Afternoon shifts (exact times to be confirmed)

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Enforce pool rules and safety protocols at all times.
• Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the pool area.
• Communicate effectively with camp staff and children.

Qualifications:

• Current certification in Lifeguarding CPR/AED and First Aid (required)
• Prior experience as a pool lifeguard (preferred)
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Ability to remain alert and focused during extended periods
• Comfortable working with young children in a dynamic camp setting
