Job Summary
This is a fulltime teaching position in our science department teaching 5 sections ofbiology a mentor group and Irish Block class to begin August 2025. Faculty will employ culturally responsive teaching strategies and handson learning to support student growth and interest in biology. It is vital this person is able to connect with students and build relationships to encourage interest in science in a rigorous and thoughtful learning environment. Instructional expectations include high student engagement various instructional strategies handson labs projects assessments and data collection to aid in instructional decisionmaking. Priorknowledge in Universal Design for Learning strategies and techniques are preferred.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in biology and/or related life science
Masters degree preferred
Current certification in science preferred
Recent teaching experience
High school or middle school teaching background preferred

Ability to work with students in a multicultural setting
Ability and willingness to integrate technology into student learning
Enthusiastic compassionate and innovative approach to student learning
Ability to create and implement accurate assessments of student learning
Possess the knowledge and skills to develop positive interpersonal relationships
Good organization and management skills
Ability to meet individual student needs in the development of curriculum goals
Possess a willingness to collaborate with colleagues

Salary: Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications. This is a fulltime teaching position with a salary range of $63816 to $112635 annually.
