What Youll Do:
As a collaborative member of the Special Education team this Special Education Teacher is responsible for teaching students aged 35 in integrated or substantially separate programs at Salems Early Childhood Center. The Preschool Special Education Teacher works in consultation with special education teams to provide developmentally appropriate fun and accessible learning experiences for students with disabilities and their peers. The Preschool Special Education Teacher will effectively manage a continuous caseload including providing specialized instruction that allows students to progress academically and socially; assuring that documented accommodations are delivered with consistency; participating in professional learning communities; providing parent communication developing and implementing IEPs; developing and implementing behavioral interventions; and working with paraprofessional staff to ensure the consistent provision of a highquality program for Salems youngest students.

The Preschool Special Education Teacher is considered part of the Salem Teachers Union. The position is a schoolyear position with the opportunity to work in the Extended Year (summer) Program. Salary is commensurate with Collective Bargaining Contract. The Preschool Special Education Teacher reports to the Special Education Supervisor ECC Principal and the Executive Director of Special Education.

Salary:Teacher salaries in the Salem Public Schools are determined by theSalem Teachers Union collective bargaining agreement.
