The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is currently seeking a Flight Deck Senior Manager to lead Airplane Systems Flight Deck within the Mobility Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) division in Oklahoma City OK or Tukwila WA. The role will support multiple programs including E7 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) AWACS and Executive Transport (VC25A).
As a Senior Manager in Flight Deck you will provide guidance and direction to first line managers and engineers supporting development integration and certification activities for Flight Deck Avionics systems. The successful candidate will plan organize coordinate and manage all resources necessary to successfully execute the program statement of work.
Position Responsibilities
Leads employees and firstlevel managers performing engineering and technical activities in the procurement technical subcontract management development integration testing and certification of Flight Deck Avionics in support of E7 AWACS and Executive Transport program objectives
Developing and executing plans in accordance with organizational processes and procedures
Developing estimates to support contract proposal activities.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes. Manages develops and motivates employees and firstlevel managers
Provides Coaching mentoring and developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance
Supports the Airplane Systems Capability to improve productivity define design practices monitor engineering metrics lead innovation and maintain a skilled workforce and the tools necessary to meet program objectives
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelors degree in Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience with Flight Deck Mechanical or Electronic systems
Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role leading teams or projects to successful completion
Experience managing multiple competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Ability to build a psychologically safe environment of inclusion transparency and trust

Experience with FAA and Military Certification
