Job Description

Summary
The Bishop Lynch High School Coordinator of Fine Arts will support the Director of Fine Arts and the needs of the Fine Arts Department. The Coordinator of Fine Arts will provide administrative support for the department and work with the Director of Fine Arts to coordinate and implement events performances and programs for the department and
community. Reporting to the Director of Fine Arts the Coordinator of Fine Arts will execute activities to ensure a firstchoice Fine Arts experience for students at Bishop Lynch High School.


A Coordinator of Fine Arts is responsible for the implementation of the goals of Catholic education as outlined in The Holy Sees Teaching on Catholic Schools (Archbishop Michael Miller):

Sustained by Gospel Witness


Qualified candidates will be driven and inspired by the mission of Catholic schools to form young men and women in a high school setting who will be good citizens of the world loving God and neighbor and enriching society with the leaven of the gospel and who will also be good citizens of the world to come thus fulfilling their destiny to become
saints (Miller p. 20).


JOB EXPECTATIONS AND SKILLS INCLUDE:
Deep understanding and appreciation of the needs of performing and visual arts programs.
Assist the Director of Fine Arts with dissemination of pertinent information to Fine Arts faculty.
Promote the mission of the Bishop Lynch Fine Arts department.
Attend Fine Arts performances department meetings and events as well as specified community events.
Maintain the master calendar of events for Fine Arts spaces including all visual arts rooms band hall dance studio and the Catholic Foundation Performing Arts Center (PAC) which includes the McGonigle Theatre Blackbox Theatre and Monsignor Weinzapfel Atrium. Work closely with internal departments and schedule permitting external community partners on events and performances.
Assist the Director of Fine Arts with contract negotiations and execution for community rentals.
In conjunction with the Director of Fine Arts Bishop Lynch Facilities Team and Technical Theater Director manage and maintain the Catholic Foundation Performing Arts Center and Fine Arts spaces including physical needs and repairs.
Under the direction of the Director of Fine Arts assist as production coordinator for campus and community events and theatrical performances. Duties may include (but not limited to): working with the Communications Department for marketing theatrical and fine arts performances; processing invoices of contract employees and vendors with accounts payable; creating and managing online ticket sales; overseeing or providing house
management for theatrical performances.
Support the TAPPS Academic and Art teams in conjunction with the Director of Fine Arts including logistics and attending competitions.
Assist with the coordination of year end events and banquet logistics including scheduling communication catering financials.
Oversee Fine Arts social media platforms.
Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues students parents and community members.
Serve as a positive role model for students and support the schools mission statement.
Opportunity to work with faculty and provide coaching to student performers and artists.

As instructed by the Director of Fine Arts facilitate relationships between Bishop Lynch Fine Arts programs and Future Friars such as with partner schools within the Diocese of Dallas
Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Fine Arts or the Assistant Principal for Academics.


Working Conditions:
Occasional local travel and statewide travel.
Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.


QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Bachelors degree in fine arts or related field.
Knowledge of performance spaces and needs.
Ability to communicate effectively with all school stakeholders.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Passion to promote fine arts programming for students.
Availability to work after school hours and special events.
