Carrier HVAC in North America is dedicated to delivering excellence in supply chain management and building strong collaborative relationships with our suppliers.
The Senior Sourcing Manager will be reporting to US Regional Supply Chain Leader the focus of this position will be on the sourcing activities in the Charlotte Production facility. The Senior Sourcing Manager manages a team of Sourcing Specialists and plays a crucial role in the productivity of this operation by closely working with the Operations Team to deliver to business goals.
We are looking for someone that can work effectively and independently in a dynamic complex environment.
This is an onsite role based out of Charlotte with the ability to travel 30% of the time to suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with suppliers monitor supplier performance support supplier evaluations and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address supplierrelated issues and ensure timely performance reviews at least once a quarter with all strategic and/or atrisk suppliers.
- Drive supplier performance: Identify systemic issues with performance (quality delivery warranty etc.) regularly onsite visits to critical suppliers and collaboratively develop and support countermeasures and activities to mitigate and exceed targets with KPIs such as ontime delivery supplier capacity and total of weeks of materials available for production clear to build.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with the sourcing process including supply chain disruptions quality issues regulatory compliance and geopolitical factors related to assigned categories. Assist with contingency plans to minimize potential impact on operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Leverage Carrier Excellence Tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement using data analytics and technology tools to enhance the sourcing processes.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Develop and manage metrics and performance indicators to track supplier performance trends monitor progress and generate actionable insights. Prepare regular reports and presentations for leadership highlighting key findings achievements and recommendations.
- Escalation: Be single point of contact for plant to escalate supply chain concerns/issues and to coordinate effort to provide quick resolution.
- Coordination: Coordinate with commodity teams materials operations engineering finance and/or quality to complete projects and achieve expected benefits within project timeline.
- People management: Coach and mentor direct reports.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 6 years of progressive work experience in sourcing programs supplier performance and/or building supplier relationships
- 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 4 years of experience in leading a team of professionals
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management industrial engineering mechanical engineering administration or business administration
