Additional Essential Duty and Responsibilities:
All teachers in the Spanish Immersion program are required to participate inprofessional development dual language (DL) instruction through Addalingua. This dual language professional development willprepare our teachers in the bestpractices in Spanish Immersion and give them a clear understanding of utilizing the Addalingua frameworks required for Spanish Immersion instruction.

Education/Experience:
Native Spanish speaking must hold a BA or BS degree from an accredited postsecondary institution and have three or more years related experience and/or training. A Masters degree is a plus.
Language Ability:
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules handbooks and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of students and staff.
Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully an individual should demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy. Basic proficiency is needed in word processing emailing accessing the Internet school management software and curriculum mapping software.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Teachers are responsible for the safe supervision of students both inside and outside the classroom including but not limited to the lunchroom hallways playground and carline.
