Role Overview
We are looking for a handson experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations maintenance and compliance of multiple properties in Worcesterincluding office spaces residential units and commercial premises. The ideal candidate is both an effective coordinator and a practical problemsolver with strong technical aptitude. Handyman or technical maintenance skills will be a significant advantage in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Property Operations
Oversee facilities across office residential and commercial sites
Manage cleaning security utilities and general building operations
Ensure properties are safe functional and tenantready
Maintenance Management
Coordinate both preventative and reactive maintenance
Manage contractors and service providers
Perform or assist with basic maintenance tasks where applicable (plumbing electrical carpentry etc.)
Keep detailed maintenance logs and schedules
Health Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and building standards
Conduct regular site inspections and manage compliance documentation
Oversee fire safety systems emergency protocols and certifications
Tenant & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as primary contact for tenants regarding facilities issues
Coordinate tenant moveins/outs and access control
Resolve service requests promptly to ensure high satisfaction
Budget & Cost Control
Assist in managing facilities budgets and expenses
Obtain competitive quotes and oversee contractor agreements
Identify opportunities for costefficiency and utility savings
Asset & Space Management
Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment and assets
Plan and coordinate refurbishments and space reconfigurations
Key Outcomes
Facilities are wellmaintained safe and compliant
Tenants receive responsive reliable service
Technical issues are addressed efficiently with minimal downtime
Maintenance is proactive and costcontrolled
Requirements
Experience:
5 years in facilities property or building management
Experience with mixeduse properties (office residential commercial)
Strong contractor/vendor management skills
Familiarity with compliance standards and safety regulations
