Job Description
Position Summary
The Recreation & Parks Department is currently recruiting applicants to fill a temporary/seasonal positionup to40 hours a weekto assist in the daytoday maintenance of Edinburgh USA Golf.

Payrates:- If age 17 and no drivers license pay is $14.91/hour.
- If age 17 with drivers license pay is $15.36/hour.
- If age 18 and no drivers license pay is $15.91$20.16/hour.
- If age 18 with drivers license pay is $16.88$21.53
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
All Seasonal Recreation & Parks positions:
- Perform general cleaning as well as general maintenance
- Promote harmonious relations with fellow employees divisions departments and with the public
- Perform and assist with any Recreation & Parks related duties
- Operate vehicles and/or small equipment (if age 17 or do not have a drivers license may operate small equipment only e.g. weed whipper)
Edinburgh USA Golf
- Operate weed whips
- Operate push mowers
- Operate riding lawn mowers
- Change tee markers and pin placements
- Clean restrooms
- Mechanical and hand rake bunkers
- Wash and park golf cars
- Fill divots on tees and fairways
- Other tasks assigned by supervisor
Minimum and Desired Qualifications
Education
High school graduate
Experience
- 17 years of age (may operate small equipment only)
- 18 years of age or older
Licenses/Certifications
Valid drivers license (required to operate vehicles)
Equivalency
An equivalent combination of education and experience closely related to the duties of the position MAY be considered.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

- Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience operating small equipment
- Previous park and/or building maintenance experience
- CPR First Aid AED certifications
- Previous maintenance work experience
- Previous cleaning/janitorial work experience
- Previous experience working with people from various cultural socioeconomic racial and ethnic backgrounds
- Fluency in Spanish Hmong Russian Somali or Laotian Vietnamese language(s)
Working Conditions
Background Check- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 10to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally.
- Prolonged periods of standing bending sitting stooping kneeling climbing.
- Exposure to cleaningchemicalspossibly hazardous
- Work is performed in various conditions indoors temperature controlled4050 degreesand outdoor in various weather conditions.

Anticipated Work Schedule:
Position is temporary/seasonal position that will work up to 40 (forty) hours per week. Evening and weekend shifts may be assigned as needed.
- Edinburgh USA Golf (8600 Edinbrook Crossing):
Work shifts are from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Anticipated Hiring Wage: $15.91 $21.53 hourly depending on qualifications and team equity
