Job Description

The Drr Group operates in the market with five divisions:

  • Paint and Final Assembly Systems: Paint shops and final assembly systems for the automotive industry
  • Application Technology: Robot technology for the automated application of paint sealants and adhesives
  • Clean Technology Systems: Exhaustair purification systems and energy efficiency technology
  • Measuring and Process Systems: Balancing as well as assembly testing and filling technology
  • Woodworking Machinery and Systems: Machinery and equipment for the woodworking the industry

Location: Southfield MI

Position Summary:

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for calling on key OEM accounts identifying and developing service and modification sales activities customers throughout the southern United States.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • To provide plant direct service and modification sales activities.
  • To be responsible for all activities from initial contact through to the PO award. Activities / responsibilities could include identification of opportunities site assessment root cause analysis development of project scope estimating and the sale of the project.
  • To coordinate and oversee tasks supported internally by other departments as required.
  • To perform Customer visits including proactive established customer base and new potential customers.
  • To maintain all internal procedures from Opportunity CRM maintenance through to internal and external project kick off as applicable.
  • To perform all associated tasks document and maintain records in compliance with the company Business Operating System procedures.

Being team player within the service department is essential for the development and execution of service related and facility modification solutions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of process plant equipment and system integration preferably within the paint finishing industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in an engineering operations field (e.g. project engineering design site supervision commissioning project management)
  • Previous estimating experience preferred
  • Good coordination / communication skills
  • Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
  • Must be self motivated flexible dependable and creative
  • Willing to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Supervisory Responsibilities

No direct supervisory duties.

Physical Demands: While performing duties of job incumbent is occasionally required to stand walk sit and use hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close and distance vision. Additionally the incumbent will be required to:

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a fulltime position. Days and hours of work vary based on need. Evening and weekend work may be required. May be required to work holidays. Overtime may be required.

Travel:

This position requires frequent travel approximately 50%. Travel can be both overnight and during the business day and can be both local and international.
