Little Powder School is located approx. 35 miles north of Gillette

INTERVENTIONIST/TUTOR

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:

To plan and implement specialized intervention experiences through high quality instruction for students.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides high quality general education instruction to students who are atrisk in reading writing and/or mathematics.

2. Uses identified scientific researchbased interventions focused specifically on individual student difficulties.

3. Provides the high quality instructional time needed to move students to grade level proficiency.

4. Monitors program effectiveness by analyzing assessment results at the school level and provides supports to teachers as needed.

5. Attends all meetings and trainings as assigned.

6. Communicates with Principal on schoolwide progress of interventions.

7. Utilizes tracking form to maintain lists of students participating in interventions.

8. Provides clear and timely information to parents/caregivers and colleagues regarding classroom expectations student progress and ways they can assist learning.

9. Provides high quality general education to students identified as gifted and talented.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Accepts other duties as may be assigned which are related to the scope of the job.

Independently plans and implements activities to address the needs of students

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND MENTAL ABILITY:
Strong background in instructional strategies leadership ability and content related to school improvement plans.

EDUCATION LICENSE CERTIFICATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:
Possess all certificates required for the State of Wyoming (Elementary Education Degree).

Possess at a minimum a Bachelors Degree.

Be able to stand walk and sit for long periods without fatigue or discomfort.

Be able to push up to 200 pounds up to 30 feet.

Be able to pull up to 100 pounds up to 50 feet.

Be able to carry up to 25 pounds up to 100 feet.

Be able to stoop kneel crouch reach handle finger talk hear and see.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Be able to spend most of the time inside classrooms with some work outside in cold/hot weather.

Be able to tolerate noise up to 90 decibels.

Be able to work in a building that heats with coal.

Be able to work after dark.

Minimum Salary $10500

Maximum Salary $16800
