Our John Hancock US segment Technology area is looking for a passionate and skilled Agile Coach to guide and mentor our US segment technology and agile teams in strengthening our Agile methodologies and practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile principles excellent coaching skills and a proven track record of coaching Teams.
JOB DESCRIPTION
People Leader Role: Yes
Key Responsibilities:
Educate and engage stakeholders across the organization on Agile values and principles.
Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to enhance Agile understanding and capabilities.
Serve as a mentor and coach for Agile teams helping them to adopt and improve Agile practices.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive the adoption of Agile methodologies such as Scrum Kanban and Lean.
Develop and educate organization on facilitation of Agile ceremonies including daily standups sprint planning retrospectives quarterly planning program increments and reviews.
Identify and address any obstacles that may hinder the teams progress and work to remove them.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement encouraging teams to experiment and innovate.
Assesses teams Agile maturity and identifies strategies to improve teams performance.
Adapts Agile practices for each team member in order to ensure continuous improvement of performance.
Works with project teams to analyze current systems and processes and design a strategy for adopting leading Agile practices.
Leads Agile workshops for developer and functional teams as well as for key stakeholders.
Promotes a culture of continuous improvement setting goals and milestones and assigning responsibility.
Drives cultural change by championing an Agile mindset and ensures the organization is adhering to industry leading practices.
Enables teams to selfmanage and find their own solutions to problems through the application of Agile principles values and practices
Develop measures and report on the progress and effectiveness of agile delivery
Helping in defining standards and best practices with agile delivery tool usage such as JIRA Confluence and Portfolio related delivery tools to increase efficiency on agile practices.
Manage Scrum Leads for organization
Job Requirements:
Proven experience as an Agile Coach Scrum Master or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodologies (e.g. Scrum Kanban SAFe Lean).
Relevant Agile certifications (e.g. Certified ScrumMaster Certified Agile Coach)
Preferred certification ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Coaching (ICPACC) ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Team Facilitation (ICPATF)Lean Kanban University (LKU) Kanban Management Professional (KMP)Certified Scrum Professional ScrumMaster (CSPSM) Agile Coaching Institute (ACI) Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC)
Excellent facilitation coaching and mentoring skills.
Able to coach at various levels in the organization
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
Experience in managing and leading change in complex environments.
Skilled in Agile and portfolio tools such as JIRA Confluence Planview or related tools.
Experience managing teams
Broad experience across software development software testing business analysis architecture UX and operations
Bachelors degree in Business IT or a related field is preferred.

Salary range is expected to be between
$104860.00 USD $194740.00 USDIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location please contact for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant jobrelated factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
