Job Description
Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Pharmacist to join our Methodist Hospital team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
The pharmacist will insure the accurate and timely dispensing and safe and appropriate use of medications. This includes receiving and interpreting physicians orders to be dispensed compounded and/or admixed for inpatients or outpatients. For outpatients this will include patient counseling on proper medication use and potential side effects.
Work Schedule:
Day/evening rotating weekends
32 hrs weekly / .8 FTE
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or PharmD degree in pharmacy
- Current licensure in Minnesota.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a PGY1 Hospital Pharmacy Residency preferred
- Institutional experience (hospital or home care/outpatient IV) is preferred.
- Pharmacist registered in Minnesota who is familiar with pharmacy regulations and standards medication delivery systems information systems automation institutional practice and third party pay programs.
- This highly organized individual should possess the ability to work effectively with others to efficiently deliver care for patients.
- Leadership written/verbal skills and customer service skills are essential.
- Intermediate level computer/keyboarding skills required.
- Demonstrates knowledge of agerelated growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety to patients.
- This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship including but not limited to FMLA ADA discrimination and harassment laws patient confidentiality PNHS compliance programs HCFA CMS TJC FDA DEA Board of Pharmacy OSHA EPA and the Minnesota Department of Health.
