We pay up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for parttime employees including mental health coverage.

Position Highlights
In this role you will act as a coordinator for the mediators who perform domestic relations mediation as required by law. You will coordinate orientation sessions and assign mediators to cases. You will enter a variety of documents into the case management system create reports and prepare and send notices and other correspondence. You will also compile statistics and reports for the Linn County Mediation/Arbitration Commission. This work includes analyzing the number of cases that have been mediated the programs budget and the overall condition of the program.
Additionally you will answer questions from court staff attorneys parties agencies and mediators about document entry case processing family law and domestic relations cases mediation processes and schedules and orientation sessions. The support you provide will be in person at the service counter over the phone and in writing. You will also work closely with program coordinators and partner agencies ensuring that information in the case management system is accurate and remains confidential. Part of your time will be spent processing incoming and outgoing mail.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a bachelors degree in business or public administration behavioral or social/human services or a closely related field.
AND
At least one (1) year of increasingly responsible technical or professionallevel program experience that typically supports the knowledge skills and abilities required for the position.
OR
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to five (5) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge skills and abilities for the position.

Requested Skills and Attributes

Experience performing a variety of clerical or administrative support tasks that included meeting strict deadlines maintaining accuracy when interrupted or distracted by a noisy work setting and using a computer to input information and complete various tasks including compiling data running reports and maintaining calendars and schedules.
Experience providing customer service to a variety of individuals in challenging circumstances.
Experience writing reports policies and procedures and other documents that provide analyses and recommendations.
Experience identifying handling and securing confidential information and materials.
Experience working in a court or other legal environment is preferred but not required.
Working Conditions
This is a parttime position (.25 FTE 10 hours per week). The work schedule is to be determined but will typically fall between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for straighttime compensation for up to 40 hours per workweek and is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek.
Occasional afterhours or overtime work may be required.
Frequent phone and inperson contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
Frequent phone and inperson contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances highly stressful situations or trauma.
Long periods of sitting or standing.
