Job Summary
The Department of English seeks Adjunct Faculty to teach composition writing studios speech and/or literature surveys as well as other courses as needed and conduct weekly office hours. Courses are taught in person hybrid and/or online.
Applicants must have a minimum of a masters degree in a field appropriate to the discipline with at least 18 hours completed in graduatelevel English courses. Transcripts submitted with the application must show these minimum qualifications.
In addition to their qualifications and experience the cover letter must address the applicants availability to teach in person on the JSU campus MondayThursday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Department Information
The Department of English at Jacksonville State University offers an undergraduate degree with concentrations in creative writing literature and professional writing as well as a masters degree and several certificate and micro credential programs.
