TITLE: SUPERVISOR OF COLLABORATION & TEACHERDEVELOPMENT
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate
2. Minimum of 5 years overall teaching experience
3. Effective Teacher Collaboration Experience
in Education Preferred
REPORTS TO: Deputy Assistant Superintendent of School Improvement and Collaboration
SUPERVISES:Such staff as the Deputy Assistant Superintendent of School Improvement andCollaboration may designate
JOB GOAL:To provide support for implementation of effective teacher collaboration
TERM: Twelve (12) Months
SALARY: Supervisor Salary Schedule
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a resource to enhance school leaders proficiency in both implementing teacher collaboration and building their knowledge of exemplary instructional strategies
- Observe and give feedback on teacher collaboration meetings and facilitate instructional workshops for lead teachers and instructional coaches
- Work closely with the Director to determine what additional resources schools may need to implement teacher collaboration meetings effectively
- Works with the lead teacher/ instructional coach in each of the assigned schools to identify the schools needs research and identify educational strategies that will meet the specific needs of the particular school implement the strategies and provide ongoing evaluation and feedback to enable immediate adjustments as necessary to ensure teacher and student success
- Conduct meetings with lead teachers instructional coaches the principal and leadership team members at school sites to debrief teacher collaboration observation
- Provide evaluation and support services for teacher collaboration including: observing teacher collaboration meetings modeling teacher collaboration process evaluating strategies being implemented in teacher collaboration and giving coaching towards improvement
- Attend Leadership Team meetings as needed and provide feedback on operations
- Participate in observations with lead teachers and instructional coaches for the purpose of
ensuring interrater reliability - Review all of a schools teacher collaboration documentation (teacher collaboration group meeting record longrange plan Leadership Team log and teacher IGPs) and provide feedback
- Attend professional development opportunities redeliver train district and school personnel
- To analyze student performance data and align curriculum to meet the objectives of the school improvement plan
- To analyze results of summative assessments to determine student growth and identify strengths and weaknesses
- To work effectively and foster open communication with school personnel and staff
- To submit accurate records and report promptly
- To exhibit professional ethics and consistently demonstrate selfdirection
- To accept and perform other duties assigned by the Principal in relation to the implementation of teacher collaboration
