Visy is powering the circular economy closing the loop between packaging remanufacturing and recycling. Over 75 years weve grown to 7000 employees and 150 global operations predominantly in Australia and New Zealand.
We believe materials are not recycled until theyve been made into new products. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper cardboard glass plastics and metals from households and businesses and locally remanufacture them back into new sustainable packaging. From cardboard boxes water bottles and jam jars to food and beverage cans we are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealands food and beverage packaging industry.
Role details: Due to the fast growth of the business we are now looking for a Management Accountant to join the team based onsite in Essendon Fields in Melbourne. This role will report into the Finance Manager Visy Global Procurement.
What youll do:
As such the role will support finance operations across various business units within Visy Global Procurement focusing on energy travel and fuel transactions intercompany chargeouts and comprehensive financial support for Allpak Hong Kong including balance sheet reconciliations payroll and general bookkeeping. Further to that you will be involved with but not limited to:
- Cost and Overheads Control:Ensure effective cost controls by reviewing reported costs and investigating overruns.
- Commercial Support:Support the Commercial team to enable better decisionmaking across the business.
- Financial Operational Efficiency:Improve operational efficiency with fitforpurpose financial models.
- Financial Forecasting Excellence:Enhance forecasting accuracy and reliability through improved processes and monthend discipline.
- DataDriven Insight:Develop more insightful financial and operational reporting to drive dataled decisions.
- Process Improvement and Automation:Reduce risk and improve efficiency by streamlining accounting systems and minimizing manual work.
What you will bring to the team:
You will have a CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion of these studies with a minimum of 2 years experience in Management Accountant roles. You would describe yourself as a quick learner someone who is a problem solver with a great eye for detail. Youre a selfmotivated proactive and organized person with a real Can Do attitude. You enjoy a fastpaced working environment and can work well under pressure. You are a great communicator enabling you to form strong relationships with stakeholders on all levels. You will be tech savvy with advanced Excel skills Hyperion and SAP experience would be advantageous.
