DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and approving Continuing Professional Education (CPE) course applications and related activities as well as assisting Pennsylvania military families as the Compact Commissioner for theMilitary Interstate Childrens Commission(MIC3) and Purple Star Schools Program. Effective communication is essential as you will be corresponding with the field and providers regarding processes for becoming an approved provider and for preparing clear concise reports for internal and public use. Work involves maintaining files providing technical assistance to local school systems and chairing the Military Interstate Childrens Compact State Council. You will have the opportunity to analyze and approve Purple Star Schools applications while also managing the administrative aspects of the Purple Star Schools award. Additional responsibilities include:
- Handling confidential information pertaining to the Division of Planning and Professional Development
- Reviewing legal changes that pertain to military connected students and families
- Developing or revising policies when new legal requirements or changes occur
- Developing and delivering presentations trainings and workshops

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday Friday with a 60minute lunch.
- Travel is required.
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) parttime. You will be required to report inoffice one day per week. In order to telework you must have a securely configured highspeed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $75678.00(before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Basic Education Associate I (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Five years of professional experience in the field of education;or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
