Job Description
Liberty Common School in Fort Collins Colorado a Poudre School District charter school dedicated to Core Knowledge principles collegepreparatory instruction and classical education seeks a proactive and selfstarting Information Technology (IT) Specialist to join our team. Liberty Common School currently enrolls over 1500 students in grades K12 receiving instruction at three facilities.
The IT specialist helps with or has responsibility for end user hardware and software support in a Windows and Chromebook environment Windows server administration and support network administration OS imaging backups virtualization configuration and support device configuration asset management peripheral management and configuration computer security and/or other duties as assigned.
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Salary NonExempt
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular Fulltime
WORK HOURS: 40 hours per week
SALARY: $40000.00$45000.00 (may be adjusted based on experience education and certifications)
REPORTS TO: Director of IT
REVISION DATE: May 2025
Minimum Requirements:
- Desire and willingness to learn about Libertys history and philosophy and to uphold and promote the mission and values of the school.
- Excellent problemsolving / troubleshooting skills
- Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 1011 Server).
- Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products and Google Gsuite products.
- Experience with and knowledge of various computer and computerrelated hardware configurations.
- Integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
- Willingness to be a key member of a hardworking dynamic team.
- Ability to communicate difficult technology concepts in easytounderstand terms to end users.
- Ability to sit and stand (conducive to an office environment) for extended periods of time.
- Able to use a ladder to access overhead cables and equipment.
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and move loads of up to 50 pounds over short distances.
Preferred Characteristics:
- BS in Computer Information Systems Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Experience background or certification in Windows server technology (MCSA etc.)
- Experience background or certification in networking technology (CCNA Network etc.)
- Experience background or certification in virtualization environments (Hypercore HyperV etc.)
- Experience background or certification in computer security (Security CySA etc.)
- Experience with PowerSchool SIS
