Job Description
Rate of pay: $17.00/hr
Status: On Call
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checks the room for proper seating order and checks neatness of seating area before show starts.
- Arrange floor seating according to applicable venue map; make sure seating signage is visible.
- Rearrange seating as needed post show and help clean up the room after performance.
- Handle difficult problems which arise during seating ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor the room for distractions or problems during the show; handle any issue that may arise properly.
- Ensure only guests with proper credentials obtain access to restricted areas.
- Maintain communication with other departments within the Venue to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Scan tickets as guest enters venue and scan exiting guests for reentry.
- Greets guests and offers direction in locating their seats. Escorts full comps and guests who enter at show time to their seats.
Qualifications:
- Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.
- Nonpublic contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time in connection with their duties and may be subject to the same environment.
- At least three years with usher experience.
- Literacy and fluency in English
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Above average communication skills
- Above average reasoning skills
- Ability to move chairs and tables easily
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must qualify for obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission
