Rate of pay: $17.00/hr

Status: On Call

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks the room for proper seating order and checks neatness of seating area before show starts.
  • Arrange floor seating according to applicable venue map; make sure seating signage is visible.
  • Rearrange seating as needed post show and help clean up the room after performance.
  • Handle difficult problems which arise during seating ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor the room for distractions or problems during the show; handle any issue that may arise properly.
  • Ensure only guests with proper credentials obtain access to restricted areas.
  • Maintain communication with other departments within the Venue to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Scan tickets as guest enters venue and scan exiting guests for reentry.
  • Greets guests and offers direction in locating their seats. Escorts full comps and guests who enter at show time to their seats.

Qualifications:

  • Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.
  • Nonpublic contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time in connection with their duties and may be subject to the same environment.
  • At least three years with usher experience.
  • Literacy and fluency in English
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Above average communication skills
  • Above average reasoning skills
  • Ability to move chairs and tables easily
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must qualify for obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission
