Center for Disability and Accommodations Access Coordinator
The Center for Disability and Accommodations (CDA) at Western Colorado University is seeking a dedicated enthusiastic and detailoriented Access Coordinator to join our growing team. Fulltime graduate students are encouraged to apply for this position with flexible scheduling available. In this critical role the successful candidate will support student success by coordinating accommodations collaborating with faculty and other campus partners and ensuring equitable access to academic and campus life for students with disabilities. Position: Western Colorado University invites applications for the parttime .5 FTE (averaging 20 hour per week) position of Access Coordinator. The position reports to the Director of the Center for Disability and Accommodations works closely with other staff faculty and students and is responsible for supporting the needs and mission of the Center for Disability and Accommodations. This job is not remote eligible and is an inoffice position.
Responsibilities: The Access Coordinator is responsible for assisting with walkin traffic phone and email inquiries providing guidance on accommodations assistive technology and exam procedures. The Access Coordinator will also conduct student followups send meeting reminders and collect verify and securely store sensitive student documentation in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA in addition to supporting case management in alignment with applicable state and federal laws. This position will also assist in obtaining electronic format alternative format textbooks from publishers proctor accommodated exams and coordinate peernote taking accommodations and supervise peer note takers. This position supports campus outreach and training by assisting with the development and delivery of educational resources for faculty and staff regarding best practices for supporting students with disabilities strengthens campus partnerships to enhance student engagement and belonging as well as plans and implement studentcentered outreach programs and events. This position may also represent the CDA at campus events and information fairs develop assistive technology user guides and update department websites. This position will assist the Director with other administrative tasks as assigned.

Compensation: $24.00 per hour with flexible hours. This position is FLSA nonexempt. After one year of employment Western provides free tuition for dependents enrolled full time in undergraduate programs for up to four years.
