Estimator Heavy Civil Infrastructure Projects
Los Angeles FullTime Infrastructure & Construction
Are you an experienced Estimator with a passion for tackling complex underground infrastructure projects A leading name in the heavy civil construction sector is seeking a resultsdriven professional to join their team and support the pursuit and delivery of some of the most technically challenging underground works across the U.S.

What Youll Be Doing:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for largescale underground infrastructure projects including soft ground and hard rock environments
- Interpret project documents technical plans and specifications to accurately forecast materials labor and equipment needs
- Collaborate with internal teams engineers and field staff to resolve estimation challenges and refine cost projections
- Engage with vendors and subcontractors to solicit pricing and evaluate proposals
- Prepare comprehensive tender submissions factoring in risk overheads and potential obstacles
- Track actual project costs against budgets and provide ongoing analysis to inform operational decisions
- Implement and manage systems for cost control forecasting and performance measurement
- Conduct special studies to evaluate costsaving opportunities or standardization measures
- Contribute to scheduling assumptions and productivity assessments based on site conditions and project timelines
- Travel to project sites or meetings as required
What Were Looking For:
- 5 years of estimating experience focused on underground or heavy civil projects
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline or equivalent handson experience
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods for tunneling shafts and other subsurface structures
- Excellent attention to detail analytical mindset and ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication with a collaborative and solutionoriented approach
- Solid understanding of cost control processes and construction scheduling principles
