Job Description
We are seeking an accomplishedSenior Cost Estimatorto lead estimating efforts for multiple high-visibility construction projects. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives in complex project environments delivers precise cost projections and can drive improvements in estimating processes.
Youll work directly with project managers construction leads subcontractors and other key stakeholders to ensure budgets are accurate competitive and aligned with project requirements. While also shaping the way estimating is done for future projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadthe preparation of conceptual preliminary and detailed construction cost estimates for multiple projects.
- Collaboratewith project managers and construction leads to assess scope changes evaluate impacts and prepare change-order estimates.
- Analyzedrawings specifications schedules and proposals to create accurate quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
- Engagewith subcontractors vendors and suppliers to gather review and negotiate competitive bids.
- Enhanceestimating processes by introducing best practices tools and standardized procedures.
- Maintainaccurate cost databases historical pricing and market trend data to inform estimates.
- Supportproject planning cost forecasting and financial tracking to ensure adherence to budgets and timelines.
- Ensure compliancewith internal standards contract requirements and applicable regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience inconstruction cost estimatingfor large-scale or multi-phase projects.
- Strong understanding ofconstruction methods materials labor rates and market conditions.
- Proficiency withcost estimating software(e.g. RSMeans Sage Estimating CostOS) and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to read and interprettechnical drawings specifications and contract documents.
- Exceptionalaccuracy attention to detail and organizational skills under tight deadlines.
- Effectivecommunication and negotiationskills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
