Estimator Commercial Construction
Location: Murrieta CA Full-Time $95000 $135000 DOE
Ready to build something bigger Colorado West Construction is looking for a highly organized proactive Estimator to support our team of construction professionals. If youre passionate about commercial construction and want to grow in a fast-paced environment wed love to meet you.
The Role
As an Estimator youll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates that drive successful projects. This role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with project managers vendors and clients. Youll help ensure our projects are not only profitable but also built to the highest standard. This role also requires occasional travel for site visits to gather project data and support accurate estimating.
What Youll Do
- Analyze project requirements and determine key cost variables
- Visit job sites to gather firsthand data (travel required)
- Research labor material and production costs
- Review vendor/subcontractor bids and negotiate competitive pricing
- Perform risk analysis and prepare detailed estimate reports
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to support bidding and planning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors suppliers and engineers
What You Bring
Required:
- 2 years of experience in commercial construction estimating or support
- Strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office Suite
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Must be willing to travel for occasional site visits
- Reliable transportation and valid CA drivers license (required for site visits)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Ability to bend kneel climb ladders and move around construction sites safely
Preferred:
- Experience with BidMail PlanGrid BlueBeam and Procore
- Bachelors degree in engineering Construction Science or related field
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation

- Pay: $95000 $135000 DOE
- Occasional travel will be required
