Function of Work:
To perform a variety of clerical duties that requires some independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program.
Employees follow detailed procedural guidelines in completing welldefined duties.
Level of Work:
Experienced.
Supervision Received:
General from higherlevel clerical and/or supervisory personnel.
Supervision Exercised:
None.

Job Distinctions:
Differs from Administrative Coordinator 1 by the presence of responsibility for clerical duties that require some independent judgment to perform.
Differs from Administrative Coordinator 3 by the absence of advanced level duties that not only require some independent judgment but also involve a greater scope and complexity.
Serves as receptionist to all persons entering the administrative office; answers telephone lines; answer questions and gives information related to the housing programs collects rent and prepares daily rental receipt reports for review by the Accounting Technician; makes adjustments (when needed) for errors in postings in daily collections; files documents for both the Public Housing and Section 8 programs; lists closed out tenant files in the moveout book notes closed out tenant files in the computer; sends balance due letters on closed out accounts; sends list to Credit Bureau of uncollectible accounts; takes payments on closed out accounts and records them in the moveout book; documents payments on closed out accounts in the computer.
Distributes all applications for housing/rental assistance checks for completeness and forwards them to the Housing Specialists so the applicants can be interviewed; furnishes information to applicants and other agencies requesting technical assistance regarding eligibility; delivers requests for background checks to Natchitoches Police Department; checks internal housing records for previous tenancy on applicants; completes application query to see if the application is listed in HUDs public housing information center (PIC); verifies previous tenancy references on applicants; schedules hearings on denied applicants (when appropriate) and notifies applicants of decisions; sends letters to applicants notifying whether or not applications were approved; enters names on waiting list marking whether are not they are approved or denied; enters applications in the computer.
Collects and compiles data for reports; orders supplies and equipment making sure to get necessary approvals and purchase order (when required); performs any and all other unforeseen tasks that may arise from time to time as instructed by supervisor and/or Executive Director
