Position: Director of Residential Community Justice Programs (Central & Eastern)

Program: Community Justice Services

Location: Middletown

Salary: $90000 annually

Schedule: Full time 40 hours 1st shift Monday to Friday with flexibility to meet program needs

Program Summary:

The Connections Community Justice Services are grounded in the belief that every individual has the potential to change and lead a healthy productive life. Our programs promote public safety while reducing barriers for individuals reentering and living in the community using a traumainformed personcentered approach.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee our Residential Community Justice programs within the Community Justice Service Area. The Director will oversee five distinct programs ensuring highquality service delivery regulatory compliance and strong relationships with funders and stakeholders. This role provides direct supervision to program managers and key leadership staff and participates in an oncall rotation as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead support and supervise the operations of five community justice programs
  • Develop systems and processes to enhance service effectiveness and contract compliance
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with funders state agencies and community partners
  • Oversee staff performance training and professional development
  • Provide oncall support and leadership coverage as needed
  • Ensure programs align with Department of Correction (DOC) Court Support Services Division (CSSD) and Department of Public Health (DPH) regulations

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Proven experience in program operations and staff supervision
  • Knowledge of Connecticuts DOC and CSSD service systems
  • Familiarity with DPH regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with individuals impacted by the criminal justice system and/or living with mental illness

Travel:
Regular travel to program sites in Middletown Uncasville and Groton is required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and 7 years of related experience w/5 years being in a supervisory position.
  • Valid Connecticut Drivers License
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required

Orientation:

If selected for employment with The Connection newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
