Job Summary/Description:
WRDWTV/WAGTTV has an immediate parttime opening for a video editor/videographer. Position involves shooting and editing news video daily under a deadline. Applicants should be highly skilled in nonlinear editing be able to work independently and with others and work quickly with attention to detail and accuracy.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Shooting video but mostly editing multiple news videos for various newscasts
Collaborating with producers and other newsroom members toward the goal of selecting and editing the best visuals to represent newscast content
Working with accuracy and attention to detail under multiple daily deadlines
Qualifications/Requirements:
Applicants should have or be in the process of obtaining a bachelors degree in journalism or mass communication in video production or have equivalent experience
Handson experience and knowledge of nonlinear editing equipment and professional video camera equipment are a must
Must be dependable able to work nights and weekends nights
Position requires a valid drivers license and a good driving record
