You may find yourself working in an industrial facility a confined space or perhaps in a roadway. You will find the work physically demanding challenging and rewarding. Your efforts will support the Chambers Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant the Cascadia Wastewater Treatment Plant as well as the collections system that contain over 790 miles of sewer lines and more than 17500 manholes and 100 pump stations which contribute to complex and diverse sewer systems throughout the Pierce County Sewer Service Area. We want to ensure a healthy environment and Puget Sound so the work you perform is important and essential to our customers and regulators. This is a great opportunity to work with equipment systems and facilities that are relatively new and state of the art.

How to be Successful in the Role:We are looking for someone to perform journey level mechanical maintenance work where you will work daily with your teammates other trades maintenance and operations personnel to complete scheduled tasks repairs and projects. Honest concise and frequent communication is important in building a positive relationship with our stakeholders and customers. If you are a flexible team player work hard to complete your duties to the best of your ability and like to contribute to collaborative opportunities and training others then you could be successful.
Your Future in this Role:The role of a Wastewater Maintenance Specialist puts you in a position to be a subject matter expert (SME) in your work. A position of influence to lead instruct and train others while further development of technical and leadership skills for future opportunities.
