What You Will Achieve
As the Robotics & Automation Technical Associate you will be at the center of our operations in our stateoftheart laboratories and everything you will do every day is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. You will join the Robotics & Automation team in the Clinical Immunology and Diagnostics (CID) group within Pfizers Vaccines division. You will have the important role to maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment in a regulated GxP setting in support of multiple vaccine programs. You will be relied on as a technical contributor to assess the assigned tasks and make decisions that involve direct application of your knowledge.
How You Will Achieve It
Operate the laboratory and robotic equipment and perform a variety of tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures. These tasks include but are not limited to periodic maintenance (eg liquid handler fluid verification calibration) microplate labelling and maintenance of lab consumables.
Perform job responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures which adhere to GxP and other regulatory requirements.
Document lab work by utilizing the laboratory information management system (LIMS) and/or electronic lab notebooks.
Stay current on all departmental and corporate training.
Adhere to schedule and perform other activities assigned.
Qualifications
Must Have:
Associate degree in Biology Biotechnology Chemistry Laboratory Science or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of work experience.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions while confident in problem solving.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literacy and Microsoft Windows/Office 365 experience.
NiceToHave:
Experience working in a regulated CLIA or GxP laboratory setting.
Experience managing and calibrating equipment.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed at the laboratory bench or at an office desk using a computer. The job involves lifting loads generally not more than 20 pounds.
NONSTANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
This position involves a nonstandard work schedule working Sunday through Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. according to business needs. This schedule will be evaluated on a monthly basis.
