Job Description
A research and development lab in Woodhaven MI is seeking a lab technician to join their team for afternoon shift. This is an excellent opportunity for Lab Technician interested in great medical benefits PTO paid holidays and matching 401k after one year.
Payrates are expected to start between $20 and $30/hour with annual reviews and pay raises available. All qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate.Afternoon Shift Hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM Monday through Friday.
Qualified Lab Technicians will possess most (if not all) of the following qualifications:
- Experience with lab testing of aluminum or steel products especially tensile tests and hardness tests.
- Knowledge of metallurgy milling machines and punch presses.
- Be able to use basic lab tools micrometers calibrations and lab equipment
- Balance weight checks spectrophotometer and mechanical testingexperience is preferred
- Experience with data entry and must be wellversed in communicating electronically
- Must be able to pass standard prehire checks background checks and drug screening etc.
